Getaway No. 1: Dugway Valley

We finally made it away over the weekend. Our camp was on a hill overlooking the Dugway Proving Grounds (big fence, big no-no to go there). The sun set just over a set of peaks behind that fence.

It was pretty nice to finally get away from a computer. We’ve really been anxious to get out of the house given the too-long winter, and we should’ve gone west sooner. The west desert is just a short drive from Lehi, and it was a great way to see if the dog could handle an overnight stay outside the home (she did wonderfully). The 100 miles of washboard will have me looking for an alignment specialist sooner than later, but it was worth it.
